Lasseter Residence - Glen Ellen, California
Located in the heart of California's Sonoma wine region, this 25,000 sq ft private residence was custom-built from the ground up over a 5-year period for John Lasseter, then Chief Creative Officer of Disney/Pixar. As Lead Designer, I spearheaded this ambitious project, overseeing all aspects of interior design and interior architecture. The residence was designed around family and reflects the creative spirits of John Lasseter, his wife and 4 boys. Every element, from the custom furniture to the carefully selected finishes, works in harmony to create a unique and inspiring living space.
The successful completion of this 5-year project is a testament to my expertise in project management, client communication, and design excellence. Through meticulous planning, careful budgeting, and regular progress updates, I ensured that the project was completed on time, within budget, and to the client's exacting standards. Calistoga Depot - Calistoga, California
In this unique and captivating project, I led the design and development of three repurposed train cars, each transformed into distinct immersive experiences. Located at the Calistoga Depot, this innovative project showcases my expertise in conceptualizing and delivering bespoke environments that delight and engage.
*Experiential Spaces*
1. The Parlor Car: Elegant and refined, this Orient Express inspired car is perfect for savoring fine oysters and champagne. I created the grotto style chandeliers in my studio. Real mother or pearl wall panels run the length of the car
2. Casa Obsidiana: Vibrant and lively, this space embodies the spirit of a classic Mexican cantina, featuring works by contemporary Mexican artist Adán Paredes. I hand painted all of the dining chairs and created cast resin tabletops with semiprecious gemstones mandalas
3. The First Millionaires Saloon: Step into the Wild West in this authentically designed saloon, featuring rich wood accents, vintage decor, and a hint of rugged adventure.
As Principal Designer and Project Lead, I oversaw all aspects of the project, from concept development to schematic design, installation, and FF&E procurement. My responsibilities included:
- Conceptualizing and designing each train car's unique experience
- Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to ensure design alignment
-Developing and managing project timelines, budgets, and resources
- Coordinating with contractors and vendors for installation and FF&E procurement
